| | lion intoxilyzer® 8000 evidential instrument Overview The intoxilyzer® 8000 is the very first evidential breath alcohol instrument to use both 3- micron and 9-micron infrared analysis technology together, to detect the presence of mouth alcohol and/or interfering substances. The intoxilyzer® 8000 holds Australian National Measurements Institute certification for use an an evidential breath-alcohol analyser, in accordance with the NMI R126 standard. The instrument features an internal rechargeable battery to enable the unit to be operated either in the field or from the 240VAC mains supply. An inbuilt thermal printer provides a fully-documented report for each test, combined with a foldaway QWERTY keyboard for fast and error-free entry of the subjects details, which are displayed on the built-in data screen. The intoxilyzer® 8000 is accurate, reliable and easy-to-use. It is designed for use in law- enforcement and regulatory environments that require a dependable evidential test result to complement the initial screening test result.
