| | Breath alcohol detection overview 
SD-400 alcolmeter ® A fully automatic, simple to use breath alcohol measuring instrument for use by traffic police, in industry, medicine - and in many other applications. On account of its accuracy the alcolmeter® SD-400 is approved and used in various countries as an evidential instrument. To use, simply switch on, attach a mouthpiece and tell the subject to blow. His or her alcohol level is shown just seconds later on a large, easy to read display. The reading is then stored in memory, with date and time, for later download to a computer system for management purposes. An optional data-logging system (e.g. operator, subject, sex and age) is also available. A reusable plastic sample cup may be used as an alternative to the single-use mouthpiece tube for fast, non-invasive PASS/FAIL precursory testing. Alternatively, connect the instrument to a PC loaded with OnLineTM-400, for a low-cost 'evidential' system. 
SD-400P alcolmeter ® printer kit A battery-powered portable printer kit (in either soft case or hard case) is available as an accessory for the alcolmeter® SD-400. The high-speed thermal printer built into each printer kit produces a printed record of each test (or of each positive test only, at your option) so that a permanent record exists. Each reading is printed, along with date and time, and calibration reference data. Space is provided for entering the subject details, together with those of a witness to the test, if required. The printer is connected to the alcolmeter® SD-400 by means of a coiled cable, which makes the system very easy to use. The alcolmeter® SD-400 may still be used on a 'stand-alone' basis if required. 
500 alcolmeter ® The 500 is small in size and weight, yet big on performance. Its unique ergonomic design offers ease of use in a compact instrument which fits easily into a pocket or clips to a belt. Underneath the attractive exterior is our usual engineering quality, designed to bring you the accuracy, reproducibility, stability and durability you expect from Lion. Switch on, attach a fresh mouthpiece and tell the subject to blow: everything else is fully automatic. The graphics display guides the user through the test procedure. 
AlcoBlow ® Lion AlcoBlow ® is a hand-held screening instrument for use at traffic roadblocks. It enables the officer, within seconds, simply to determine if a driver has alcohol in their body. It is also invaluable in alcohol control programs, such as in prisons, industry and schools. AlcoBlow ® uses no mouthpieces and may be used in either active or passive mode. The unit uses a non contact breath sampling system, will show a reading within 3 seconds of sampling, is ready for use again only 2 seconds after reading a zero sample, and will flag breath alcohol at a pre-defined level. The AlcoBlow® does not display any reading however lit lights up an LED for either PASS / WARN or FAIL. 
Data-400 alcolmeter ® software Each time a lion alcolmeter ® SD-400 tests a subject's breath, data is stored in its memory. This data may simply be the alcohol reading, with date and time; or it may, if the instrument has data logging capabilities, include the test location and reason codes, the identity number of the operator, and the sex of the subject as well. Data-400TM extracts this data from each instrument and stores it on your PC's hard drive. From there it may be printed out or exported to another software package, such as Microsoft Excel® or Lotus 1-2-3® . Data from one instrument may then be merged with data from all others, to build a complete analysis of breath testing in your area.  intoxilyzer ® 8000
evidential instrument The intoxilyzer ® 8000 is the very first evidential breath alcohol instrument to use both 3- micron and 9-micron infrared analysis technology together, to detect the presence of mouth alcohol and/or interfering substances. The intoxilyzer ® 8000 holds Australian National Measurements Institute certification for use an an evidential breath-alcohol analyser, in accordance with the NMI R126 standard. The instrument features an internal rechargeable battery to enable the unit to be operated either in the field or from the 240VAC mains supply. An inbuilt thermal printer provides a fully-documented report for each test, combined with a foldaway QWERTY keyboard for fast and error-free entry of the subjects details, which are displayed on the built-in data screen. The intoxilyzer ® 8000 is accurate, reliable and easy-to-use. It is designed for use in law- enforcement and regulatory environments that require a dependable evidential test result to complement the initial screening test result. |
