Overview Lion Alcoblow® is a hand-held screening instrument for use at traffic roadblocks. It enables the officer, within seconds, simply to determine if a driver has alcohol in their body. It is also invaluable in alcohol control programs, such as in prisons, industry and schools. Alcoblow® uses no mouthpieces and may be used in either active or passive mode. The unit uses a non contact breath sampling system, will show a reading within 3 seconds of sampling, is ready for use again only 2 seconds after reading a zero sample, and will flag breath alcohol at a pre-defined level. The Alcoblow® does not display any reading however it lights up an LED for either PASS / WARN or FAIL.
