Overview

The GL900 from Graphtec is a high speed portable data logger that samples on all eight channels simultaneously.
Setting up the GL900 is simple and can be done via the front panel and display on the unit itself or via the dedicated software that is supplied with every data logger.

Display. With a 14.5 cm (5.7") display, the GL900 can be easily setup in the field or on a bench top without the need for a computer and data then transferred to PC via a USB memory device.

Software. The freely supplied software can used to quickly and easily set up the GL900, it also supports real-time data capture, data replay, X-Time and X-Y display/recording, Fast Fourier transform (FFT), and direct to Excel function.

Isolated Analogue Input Channels

Eight isolated channels can measure voltages from 20 millivolts up to 500 volts via BNC type connectors. In addition, the GL900 has eight separate screw terminals which can be used for thermocouples, 4-20mA current loops etc. Humidity can also be measured with the optional B-530 humidity sensor.

Digital I/O

With four digital I/O logic and Pulse channels, the GL900 can record on/off events or count pulses from a range of instruments.

Simultaneous Sampling Speed

Typical data loggers multiplex channels into one Analogue to Digital converter, however the GL900 can simultaneously sample at speeds up to 100kHz or 10μs on all eight channels.

Real-time monitoring

Data can be viewed in real-time with dedicated Graphtec GL900-APS software that is supplied with every unit or data can also be viewed via the GL900's built-in web sever. Graphtec also have freely available data logging resource tools and drivers for Labview™.

Remote data transfer

Remote data transfer across a Local Area Network (LAN) or Wide Area Network (WAN) is a great way to access your data remotely. The GL900 can be connected to various ADSL, Cable or 3G (NextG) modems with a TCP/IP network ports allowing the the GL900 to be viewed anywhere around the world over the internet. A Virtual Private Network (VPN) also can be set up for data security if required.

Manual data transfer

Data can be recorded to the internal memory of the GL900 or directly to an external USB memory device. The data file format can be recorded in Comma Separated Variable (CSV) so it can be opened directly with Excel or in a Graphtec Binary Data (GBD) format to protect your data. The GBD format can then easily be converted to Excel with the Graphtec GL900-APS software.

Data Logger or Data Acquisition

The GL900 is a true Data Logger in that it can operate as a stand alone unit and does not require a computer to record data. But with sampling speeds of up to 100kHz, the GL900 can also be consider as a portable Data Acquisition unit.

A complete kit

The GL900 is supplied with all basic items to get you up and running in no time. Just add a mix of signals or sensors and you will be recording great data in no time at all.

Standard items

►   GL900 midi-LOGGER
►   GL900 Quick Start Guide.
►   GL900-APS Software.
►   Power Supply - 24Volts DC.
►   USB Cable.

Conclusion

If you are looking for a bench top or portable data logger that can sample at 100kHz simultaneously on eight channels and measure voltages up to 500 volts, then the GL900 is the data logger for you. Like all Graphtec products, the GL900 is well built and well equipped with data logging features. To compliment the hardware is a nicely thought about software package.
